Spray foam insulation manufacturer Icynene has announced the appointment of Bill Sommers as chief financial officer. Sommers assumes responsibility for the spray foam manufacturer’s internal and external financial responsibilities globally.
The company says Sommers brings more than 20 years of financial leadership and management experience to the role, most recently as chief financial officer for CP Flexible Packaging Inc., a private equity-sponsored manufacturer of flexible plastic packaging. During his career, Sommers has held senior financial positions with Ametek, Accusort Systems, a Danaher Operating Company and ICI PLC.
“Icynene is thrilled to welcome Bill to the role as Chief Financial Officer,” said Howard Deck, Icnyene’s president and CEO. “Bill brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to the role that will help continue to streamline processes and functionality while allowing the company to maintain its sustained growth in the building material category.

Sommers has a MBA from the University of Delaware and is a Certified Public Accountant.
