With five months left until the doors open on CMPX 2016, the show floor is already nearly “sold out,” the show organizers say in a news release. “Only a few spaces remain available. Exhibitors wishing to be in the show need to secure their space now.”

The show is scheduled for March 16 to 18 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Show chairman Gerry Cellucci of Yorkland Controls said: “CMPX, the Canadian Mechanical and Plumbing Exposition has consistently been a sold out show, time after time, filling over 200,000 sq. ft. of display space, hosting over 550 exhibiting companies, presenting more than 1000 separate exhibit booths and attracting more than 13,000 attendees.”

“CMPX continues to be the biggest HVACR and Plumbing Show in Canada and it has achieved an unmatched track record over the past 40 years,” he said. “The show theme is, ‘one show – the entire industry’ and that is a powerful attraction to exhibitors and attendees alike. CMPX has proven to be the most effective way to meet with the entire mechanicals industry, all under one roof, for three exciting days of networking, education and new technologies.”

Jointly presented since 1972 by The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) and The Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH), the CMPX show is Canada’s national show for the mechanicals industries including: air-conditioning, heating (forced-air and hydronics), plumbing, industrial, waterworks, water quality, piping, refrigeration and ventilation.

The show organizers say CMPX offers a wide range of show features to address the needs of technicians, contractors, architects, engineers, specifiers, building managers and other professionals in the mechanicals industry.

“The New Product Showcase is a special area where a large display of the latest new products are gathered for easy viewing,” the CMPX announcement said. “New Products are one of the most important attractions for attendees who are looking for innovations in their business and to benefit their customers. Many companies plan their new product introductions for CMPX.”

The “CMPX Connections” Show Floor Theatre is a new feature for 2016. This theatre will be the home for the CMPX 2016 Learning Forum; a schedule of educational sessions on industry technologies and trends as well as issues affecting the HVACR and plumbing markets. The on-floor location for the theatre will be more convenient for attendees.

In a separate area, CMPX will again feature the Heating System Skills Competition. Technicians, young and old alike, will show off their skills to the audience and the best and brightest young people entering the industry, compete for prizes and recognition.
