MONTREAL – Acier AGF has supplied and installed 300 tonnes of reinforcing steel for the transformation of a former gas station into a new mixed-use building in the city’s Verdun district.

The project, known as Station C, aimed to revitalize a main artery of the district by constructing a new three-storey building at the corner of Wellington and Courcelette streets. The work, which began in February 2022, was completed in 2023.

According to a description from parent company Groupe AGF, the firm’s contribution was crucial for the strength and durability of the new structure. The building features commercial spaces on the ground floor with residential housing units on the upper two floors.

The project required careful logistics and coordination to execute the work within a dense urban environment. Acier AGF partnered with Demonfort on the revitalization project.
