In this edition of the Canadian Design and Con-
struction Report, we highlight companies across
the country who are demonstrating innovation,
superior customer service, and commitment to
the window and door industry in Canada.

We talked with Alberta based All Weather Win-
dows about its innovative colour technology and
growing focus on energy efficient products de-
signed for the Canadian market.

Winnipeg based Hi-Tech Energy Windows is
still pushing the industry forward, developing
new energy efficient product with a longer lifes-
pan that is uniquely suited to the province’s harsh
and demanding climate.

In Ontario, we spoke with London’s Douglas
Window and Door, who prides itself on customer
relationships and pulling together the best in
each window component to create a product that
is top-notch. We also spoke with one of those
best component producers – Strassburger Win-
dows and Doors – about the ways it maintains its
standards and reputation for excellence.

Serving northern Ontario, Urban Windows &
Doors offers Canadian made product specifically
designed for northern climates, and provides the
added benefit of a direct connection with these
communities. Also in Ontario is Dundas Woodwindows and
Specialties Inc., a company that maintains the
custom wood operations it began with 31 years
ago, but has evolved into a full solution provider
for renovations, heritage projects and custom
work, and Pollard Windows & Doors, a family
owned and operated business that has grown
over its 70-year history to design and develop
product for use in Canada and the U.S.
