The Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) is encouraging its members to start the course program leading leading to EcD certification, the national designation for economic development professionals.
The five-day course is offered in Edmonton, Alberta by the University of Waterloo’s School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) from May 5 to 8.
Modules in “Year 1 — Fundamentals of Community Economic Development” include:

- The Canadian Economy: Economic Issues Facing Local Economic Development
- Labour and Skills Development
