Department of National Defence (DND) has awarded a $46.9 million contract to Cegerco Inc. from Chicoutimi to construct two buildings at 3 Wing Bagotville, as well as the deconstruction of old buildings, DND says in a news release. Work should begin in spring 2017.
Transport and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is responsible for servicing and maintaining of heavy snow removal vehicles and for the maintenance of runways, radars, and lights, ensuring the equipment is ready at all times.
These buildings will be built in accordance with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) silver certification.
