The Buildings Show will introduce new programming and partnerships when it returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Dec. 3 to 5, including a dedicated education track curated by the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA), an inaugural engineering roundtable, and expanded networking events.
The OHBA partnership aims to strengthen the show’s focus on residential construction by offering an exclusive series of seminars on current market challenges and opportunities. Sessions will address topics such as rising costs, supply chain disruptions, changing buyer expectations and the adoption of new technologies. Attendees will also gain access to suppliers, manufacturers and industry peers offering practical solutions for today’s homebuilding sector.
A networking reception in the North Building will provide a space for builders, renovators, designers and suppliers to exchange ideas and build new connections. A section of the expo floor will also be dedicated to residential construction, highlighting materials, processes and technologies shaping Canada’s housing market.
Also new this year, the Engineering Roundtable: Challenges, Trends & Outlook for the Future will debut on Dec. 4 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The session will bring together engineering leaders to discuss the profession’s outlook and the evolving role of engineers in the built environment.
Organizers are expanding opportunities for professional networking with speed networking sessions on Dec. 3 and 4, designed to connect attendees from different sectors through a series of short meetings. The show will also add Friday educational content for the first time, extending its conference schedule and complementing an expanded trade show floor.
Other highlights include new networking mixers for professionals in architecture, homebuilding, property management and engineering; a Networking Hub (Booth 3040) for informal meetings; and Industry Networking Receptions on both Dec. 3 and 4 featuring complimentary refreshments and live entertainment.
Organized by Buildings Canada, The Buildings Show brings together professionals from construction, building, architecture and real estate for three days of education, exhibits and networking.
