The diversity and dynamic character of Canada’s architecture, engineering and construction community are reflected in this issue of the Canadian Design and Construction Report. You can walk through some of the best Canadian projects, learn about safety initiatives, and discover how building accessibility and energy efficiency are reaching new levels of excellence and economic viability.

We’ve explored how collaboration facilitated the completion of Winnipeg’s $180 million RBC Convention Centre expansion, as well as the rollout of the new model for the 21st installment of WinDoor. See as well reports about the Labourers’ Union and the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA).

Indeed, this is a giant country with common ground, yet with much regional diversity and specialization.

As you read this, I will be in Halifax for the Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) national conference, which overlaps in part with the CRCA conference.
