EllisDon took home four awards from the Vancouver Regional Construction Association’s (VRCA) 2022 Awards of Excellence gala – one Gold and three special recognition awards.
In the category of General Contractors – Tenant Improvement – Over $15 Million, EllisDon won a Gold Award for work on the Penticton Regional Hospital – Phase 2.
The hospital is one of six referral centres within Interior Health Authority’s network of hospitals and it provides secondary and specialized acute care for patients living in the South Okanagan. Phase 2 of the project involved the renovation and expansion of the pre-existing Emergency Department as well as support areas including the pharmacy, material stores and laundry rooms.
The project-specific awards recognize the VRCA’s member companies and feature industrial, commercial, institutional, multi-family residential, and special projects. Criteria included financial benchmarks, use of innovative techniques, challenges and resolutions, safety records, and/or exceptional project management.
