The Gold Seal program has introduced a requirement that all applicants will need to take the Construction Industry Ethics course (both online and classroom portions) to qualify for certification, effective Jan. 1 2017.
The Winnipeg Construction Association (WCA) reports that Gold Seal “has allocated a total of three credits to this course (two for the online portion and one for the classroom portion). This applies to all categories and disciplines, including construction safety co-ordinators.”
“If you apply for Gold Seal prior to Dec. 31, 2016 (intern or eligible to challenge the exam) this will not affect your education credits or your application,” the WCA notice says.
