Halifax police have issued a news release saying they are looking for a contractor who would be missing a load of lumber — after police caught the thieves with it.

Police say officers spotted a cube truck driving without headlights on in the area of Larry Uteck Boulevard and Broad Street in late July.

When they pulled the truck over, officers found and seized a load of lumber they believe was stolen from a construction site.

Police arrested two men, one 34-years-old and the other aged 21.
