TimberFever 2023, an annual design-build competition presented by Moses Structural Engineers, took place in Toronto from Sept. 21 to 24.
Now in its ninth year, TimberFever is a design-build competition presented by Moses Structural Engineers, bringing together architecture and civil engineering students from universities across Canada to build life-size structures out of wood.
“We are passionate about designing and building with wood, and we want to share all the positive attributes of this wonderful material with the next generation of designers,” said David Moses.
The mission is to create collaboration between students, while developing design, construction and communication skills that will be invaluable to their future careers
Finished designs are being judged by professional architects and engineers and each team member is required to participate in a presentation. The designs are also available in the TimberFever virtual village for online voting until Monday and an online awards ceremony will conclude the event and prizes will be awarded.
