EnerQuality opens nomination for 2018 Housing Innovation Awards

EnerQuality (EQ) is now accepting nominations for its 2018 Housing Innovation Forum & Awards to be held on February 22, 2018 at the Universal Event Space in Vaughan, Ontario.

Entries can be submitted for the following categories: R-2000 Builder of the Year, Ontario Green Builder of the Year, Net Zero Builder Award, Green Renovation Project of the Year Award, Evaluator of the Year, EnerQuality’s ENERGY STAR for New Homes Champion of the Year, EnerQuality’s ENERGY STAR for New Homes Builder of the Year, Building Innovation Award – Mid and High Rise, Building Innovation Award – Low Rise, Builder Achievement Award, and Best Green Marketing Campaign.

To qualify, homes or projects should be completed and labelled by EQ before Dec. 1, while individual nominees must be a registered and an active builder in good standing with EQ, or a certified energy evaluator as of Dec. 5.

Deadline for entries is on February 19, 2018 at 5pm. Submissions can be sent through email or mailed to EQ’s office at 20 Upjohn Rd.

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges, comprised by individuals from within or outside the home building industry. These professionals will represent the various disciplines involved in new home construction, design and marketing. All voting will be done by secret ballot.

Awards are to be presented during The EQ Awards Gala, which is attended annually by prominent figures in the construction industry.

Nominations are made for free with the purchase of a ticket to the EQ Housing Innovation Awards or Forum. Tickets are now available at EQ’s official website.
