Heritage house to be moved, built into new mixed-use Vancouver development

Designers of an architecturally unique mixed-use commercial development in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant District has incorporated a heritage home right into the plan’s design.

The concept, initiated with a development application in late 2017 by local developer Conwest Group has moved to the leasing stage, Daily Hive reports.

Plans for the site at 37 West 6th Ave. are to construct a building with office and industrial spaces.

The heritage wooden Coulter House, built in 1901, will be relocated and integrated into the modern building, becoming its main entrance and a defining feature of the ground-level restaurant.
