The Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) has recognized Canadian housing excellence in the association’s national SAM awards at its annual conference in Halifax.

“Each of these CHBA National SAM Award winners is outstanding,” outgoing CHBA president Bard Golightly said. “I congratulate all the winners and commend their tremendous accomplishments.”

The CHBA National SAM Awards honour outstanding achievement by home builders, renovators and developers, and by their marketing teams.

Albi Homes of Calgary, Alberta won the prestigious Grand SAM Award. The firm had won the Grand SAM in 2012. This award is presented annually to a CHBA builder member for combined excellence in both the building and marketing of new homes. Albi Homes was a finalist in seven separate categories in new homes and marketing.

Seven Lakes Developments Ltd. of Porters Lake, Nova Scotia won the Marketing Excellence Award with creative concept and production by McOuat Partnership. The award recognizes the builder-member achieving the highest cumulative results in at least four Marketing Award categories. The firm also won individual Marketing Awards in the Sales Office and Project Signage and Logo categories.

The CHBA National SAM Awards were presented in partnership with Masco/Delta Faucet and Genworth Canada. An independent panel of judges selected from across Canada presided over the competition.
