“Whether a woman on the tools, or a manager at the office, there is a strategy to career development and fast-tracking your journey,” the event announcement says.  “Marion brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience gained over her 25 years of architectural experience, specializing in sports and recreation facility design. She is recognized for her ability to lead and manage large-scale health care, sports and recreation projects as well as alternative delivery and P3 design teams.”

She has led the design of more than 30 higher-education and sports/recreation projects across North America, including working as project manager for the LEED Silver 400-metre Richmond Olympic Oval, which was designated as the official speed skating venue for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

The event includes dinner, and registration starts at 5:30 at the Best Western Plus Chateau Granville.
