OEL Projects Ltd. (OEL), which provides engineering, procurement, construction and management engineering services, primarily to the oil and gas industry has merged with McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd., a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm. This combination includes more than 500 professional and technical staff in nine locations across the country.
OEL will leverage McIntosh Perry’s expertise in environmental, hazardous materials and remediation. McIntosh Perry will continue to provide infrastructure and building / structural services across the country, including Western Canada.
“This is the next step in our plan to become the premiere diversified engineering firm in Canada,” McIntosh Perry CEO Gus Sarrouh said in a statement. “Over the last year McIntosh Perry has built a broad and diverse national presence. We are fortunate to add a firm with the depth of expertise as OEL to our engineering family, particularly since both firms share a common set of goals and values. Combining the two firms will diversify our service offerings, expand our geographical reach and enhance our client service.”
“We are thrilled to join the McIntosh Perry family,” said Jim O’Rourke, founder of OEL and director and vice-chairman of McIntosh Perry. “We are pleased to find a company that also shares our strong focus on client satisfaction, technical expertise and providing high-quality services.”
